How are we to pray?
Have you ever felt that your prayers were hitting the ceiling—like everything you say is a one-way conversation, or a duty to perform? How often do we say to someone at church or elsewhere, “Sure, I’ll pray for you,” and never really follow through? Prayer is an aspect of the Christian life we often gloss over. It becomes a ritual that lacks meaning, or a piece of our spiritual walk that feels unfulfilling. Many of us question whether God can hear us, as so many of our prayers remain unanswered. The truth is that prayer was never meant to be this way, and that much of our difficulty with prayer comes from a misunderstanding of what prayer actually is.
Through this course, we are going to embark on an adventure together, moving beyond a passive prayer life and into the thrilling reality of intercession—an active, energetic partnership with God Himself. You will discover that intercession isn’t about having the right words or being “spiritual enough”; it’s about understanding your identity as a child of the King and your assignment as His ambassador on Earth. You will learn that prayer is not just about asking God to intervene, but that He is inviting you to join Him in His work of opening blind eyes, setting prisoners free, and reconciling all things to Himself. You will learn how to live in the Kingdom, hear His voice, and walk in the supernatural authority He has given you.
How will this course change my life?
Intercessory Prayer will teach you the true meaning of prayer and how to pray according to the model Christ laid out for us in the scriptures. Through this course, you will gain a more thorough understanding of our calling as Christians and discover what it looks like to walk in the spiritual authority God has given us by staying connected to Him.
