What is joy?
How do I experience joy in my daily life? All of us are searching for more joy in our lives. The world will tell you that joy comes from tangible things or changes to your life which will lead to greater happiness. Each new thing we try, however, leads to the same result. We might experience joy for a time, but soon that emotional high fades away. As believers, particularly, we know that we are supposed to have joy in all circumstances. We claim that joy is greater than fleeting happiness and that we can experience it even in our difficult moments, but many of us find that the difficult moments where joy is clouded out tend to take up most of our lives. This is not how God meant for it to be!
In Living In Joy, we will walk through all that God says to us about joy in the Word. We will seek to answer the questions: how do we live in joy? Is it possible to be joyful in the middle of trouble and adversity? God has not called us to a life of mediocre, but a life of great joy, and he outlines what this looks like and how we can receive it in the scriptures. We will learn the truth about the nature of joy and will discuss what this looks like in our lives. We will discover how to receive and maintain joy throughout our difficult circumstances so that we can experience the true and lasting joy God delivers as we step into His abundant life!
